The Local Trust aim to inspire and motivate people to get involved and lead change in their communities. They do this through Big Local – a radically different investment of £220m from the Big Lottery Fund – which supports people in 150 places to make a difference to the things that matter most to them in their community. It’s a vision of dynamic, resilient, resident-led change that we want to share. That’s why we’re inviting you to join the conversation to explore the future with Empowered Communities in the 2020s
With support from the Local Trust Big Local, Elthorne Pride has set up a partnership board, made of up of members representatives voted by residents and volunteers to deliver projects and activities based on feedback and demand from its residents.
Applications are open for the Elthorne Pride Community Chest Fund. If you would like to apply for funding of up to £500 to run a project, deliver an activity or attend a programme, that would have a positive benefit to your community - we would like to hear from you. In the interests of fairness if your grant application is put forward to the board and it is not successful re-submissions can only be made 6 months after original application date.
We are always looking for volunteers to support the work that we do. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and a proactive way to enhance your social and employability skills. If you would like to sign up for activities or volunteer from time to time, we would like to hear from you.
Don't forget the amount of time you would like to volunteer is up to you.
The Elthorne Pride Local Focus newsletter features news, events and updates from each of our theme leads. The newsletter is released on a quarterly basis every year.
